The course covers all major cybersecurity domains, from network security over cryptography to human risk management, and so much more. It offers a comprehensive view of how cybersecurity is planned, practiced and implemented in various sectors, and in organizations of various sizes. With this foundation as a starting point, you set a solid foundation in building your ladder to success.
Summary
CWF Foundation of Security runs over a 12-week period. It combines on-demand recorded theoretical classes with live online sessions for discussions, demos and case studies. The program runs in cohorts, to allow for easy networking with your co-students. We launch several cohorts per year.What to expect

- Weekly course work in the form of 1-2 hours of on-demand video-recorded material.
- Optional weekly homework: reading assignment, surveys and case studies.

- Schedule
- Pre-recorded course work can be taken in your own time, and is 100% flexible to your availability.
- Live online session take place on Saturday mornings, 9:30 - 11:30 CET.
- Assessments
- Every module ends with a 15-minute knowledge test.
- The program concludes with a 1 hour final test, taken live online.
- Upon successfully passing all tests, participants receive a CWF-issued certificate of completion.

- This track gives a comprehensive view of all the common body of knowledge domains of cybersecurity. Acquiring knowledge in all these key areas will give you a great starting point for an entry-level information security professional certification from (ISC)2 - the CC (Cybersecurity Certificate) or the SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), if all requirements are fulfilled.
- IT-background or experience is not necessary! We will provide foundational classes on the technical domains of cybersecurity.
- Also relevant for those professionals with some relevant background and experience in the IT sector. This track gives a foundational overview and understanding of cybersecurity, its different domains and inter-dependencies, and possible career paths.

Program Requirements
- No IT-technical background required! We will guide you through the more technical aspects of cybersecurity from the very basics. A positive mindset and eagerness to learn is important though.
- Stable internet access and the ability to attend live seminars via a laptop or PC (from home or elsewhere).
- Good knowledge of English, as all our classes are conducted in English. We recommend reading level TOEFL B2 or above, speaking level B1 or above.
Program Details
- The 2026 Fall Cohort is now open for registration! Classes launch on September 10th and conclude with a final test on December 12th.
- Live seminars for this cohort take place on Saturday 10 September, 19 September, 26 September, 3 October, 10 October, 17 October, 24 October, 31 October, 14 November, 21 November, and 28 November. Live seminars are recorded and made available to all participants afterwards.
- Price is €1,845 plus 21% VAT for the course.
