Women in Cybersecurity are a rare breed in Belgium. Less than 7% of the industry is female!
On the second Women in Cybersecurity meetup organized by CyberWayFinder, we invite all women, men and those in between to become friends with other women in cybersecurity and strengthen the network.
For this meetup, we also invited two very remarkable women in cybersecurity to speak:
Phedra Clouner is the Deputy-Director of the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB). Originally a Historian, Phedra specialized in document management and archiving. Her interest in securing information led her onto the path of cybersecurity, first as an information security officer at the ministry of Justice, and later setting up the national cybersecurity centre at the Prime Minister office. Not only is she now a subject matter expert, Phedra excells in her job through her way of communicating. A charming and enthusiastic speaker, "il faut ajouter des strass et des paillettes" is how she navigates with difficult policy matters.
Marijke Vinck is the Head of Operations for EY's Cyber Centre of Excellence. Starting out as a linguist, Marijke soon discovered how she could apply those skills in speech technology and artificial intelligence. After she took a seat at EY's EMEA Leadership team, she followed her passion for Cyber and helped set up EY's Cyber Centre of Excellence.
Phedra and Marijke will speak about their careers in cybersecurity, how they've leveraged their diversity in mindset and used it to their advantage in the cybersecurity workplace.
All welcome to join for a drink, a bite and some networking at the BeCentral Co-working space!
